Curriculum

The Philosophy curriculum at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ offers a well-rounded foundation in both the history and practice of philosophical thinking. Students explore core areas such as logic, theories of reality, philosophy of knowledge, and ethics. Coursework includes historical surveys as well as focused electives, allowing students to engage with influential ideas from ancient to modern times while developing skills in critical analysis, structured argumentation, and clear communication. 

Experiential Learning

Students engage in hands-on learning experiences and reflection to develop skills and increase knowledge retention.

Philosophy students at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ go beyond the classroom to apply their learning in real-world and global contexts. Opportunities include study abroad programs such as Latin American Thought and Philosophy in El Salvador, conducting independent or collaborative undergraduate research, and participating in peer mentoring programs. These experiences deepen the understanding of philosophical concepts while building leadership, communication, and career skills.

As a Philosophy student, you’ll gain practical experience through internships in a variety of fields. Past opportunities have included placements with law firms, legal aid organizations, film production companies, and community-based nonprofits.
